Pickup trucks come with most of the qualities that other vehicle types have, including sedan-like agility and SUV-like interior comfort. However, no other vehicle type is so rugged and capable, and the most popular pickup truck ever is the Ford F-150.

Ford F-150 Trims

The Ford F-150 can be configured to fit your exact needs and preferences. Three cab styles are available: regular, SuperCab, and SuperCrew. Based on your chosen cab style, you can select three different bed lengths, making it easy to find your ideal combination between interior and cargo space.

It also comes in six main trim levels and three off-road-oriented ones:

  • XL: The standard trim comes with all the basic features you need. These include 17-inch steel wheels, a keyless entry system, LED headlights, and a class IV trailer hitch.
  • STX: The first optional trim is similar to the standard configuration but adds 20-inch wheels and carpeted flooring.
  • XLT: This trim adds a few extra features. They include larger 18-inch alloy wheels, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a 360-degree camera system to help you make your way through tight parking locations.
  • Lariat: This trim gives the F-150 a more premium look and feel. It adds features like 20-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, ambient interior lighting, and a premium eight-speaker sound system.
  • Platinum: This trim gives the F-150 a special look, both on the interior and exterior. It also adds some upgrades and feature packages.
  • King Ranch: Similar to the Platinum, this trim also gives the F-150 a unique interior and exterior look. It also adds a few luxury features like massaging front seats and adaptive suspension.
  • Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R: Off-road enthusiasts can choose any of these three off-road-capable configurations. They come with different engines and cab sizes, but all of them have the features you need for a great off-roading adventure.

Whether you're navigating job sites around Westside Albuquerque, driving long distances between towns, or hauling equipment out toward Los Lunas or Moriarty, the variety of cab and bed combinations makes it easy to tailor the F-150 to life in central New Mexico.

Engine Options and Performance Specifications

The F-150's available engine choices start with a capable turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 that can generate up to 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. There are diesel and hybrid options you can choose from, and the most powerful engine is a beastly supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 with up to 720 horsepower.

Performance-wise, it can go from 0 to 60 mph in less than 6 seconds when equipped with the V-8, which is amazing for such a large and capable vehicle. It can also tow a best-in-class 13,500 pounds and haul up to 2,440 pounds.

Technology and Safety Features

As you'd expect, the F-150 is packed with infotainment and safety tech. Features like a 12-inch touchscreen and wireless smartphone connectivity are standard. So are essential driving aids like forward collision warning with automatic braking and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning.
